Mikel started playing the guitar at just 13 years of age. Mikel toured extensively through the 80’s and mid 90’s throughout the U.S. with many bands including Raging Mane. Raging Mane recorded an album in 1986, "Raging Mane, Action By Force."

Mikel works as a studio musician and owns SLImedia and MTRecords in Erie, Colroado. Mikel continues to write and has released his first self titled solo CD project, "Mikel Thomas." Mikel is currently working on CD #2 entitled "Tools, Fools and Various Jewels" scheduled for and early 2007 release.
